One chilly day in February, Lauren, her sister Kristi and I ventured out to Millenium Park with a trunk full of clothes, some makeup and my camera gear. We found a frozen lake and Lauren surrounded herself with warmth while I used my camera to capture her fire. The resulting images are more a consequence of her amazing energy than anything else! Two of my best friends are getting married this Fall and not only do I get to be in the wedding, but I was also given the opportunity to create a set of engagement photos for them! We chose Division Avenue in Grand Rapids as the setting for many of their photos for several reasons. They met there (playing shuffleboard at Pub43), they both love art and music...

It was a wonderful experience creating holiday photos for this warm and inviting family in their beautiful home.  McKeiley and Gabrielle were absolute dolls, dancing to their favorite music and playing in front of the Christmas tree while Mom and Dad were both more than you could ask for in the kind and hospitable department.  I hope you enjoy viewing...

When Lisa and Karl asked me to photograph their darling baby girl, I jumped at the chance.  Not only would I get to see some old friends who now live out of state, but I’d also get to meet Anja at 8 months!  This sweet little cherub was just so expressive and happy, I couldn’t help but spend the better part of our morning capturing her...
