Two of my best friends are getting married this Fall and not only do I get to be in the wedding, but I was also given the opportunity to create a set of engagement photos for them! We chose Division Avenue in Grand Rapids as the setting for many of their photos for several reasons. They met there (playing shuffleboard at Pub43), they both love art and music (hence the pics at Vertigo Music…thanks Herm!) and also because I wanted to make photos in front of the polka-dot wall (which may be cliche in the Grand Rapids engagement photo scene, but that didn’t deter me). After enjoying some beers at the Pub, we finished our session off with some rather chilly pictures at the golf course near my house. The result? A set of images that convey the collective personality of this amazing couple and their love for each other!
